Reluctant Marketing

I read lots of blogs, and am always attracted to those with insights on how to market artwork. I don't even need to market myself anymore, since I have solid clients who keep me busy. However, I couldn't help but think of the great publicity I could get by a news article, written by me of course, with a headline like "Surges in Hotel Construction Force Local Artist to Work 12 Hour Days". This paraphrased from suggestions by Allison Stanfield in her Art Biz Blog.

Just the thought of that "news" story is enough to send me off on a writing tangent, as if I didn't have a studio full of commissions!
