What Next?
Jeez! I thought I was juggling this morning, but tonight is even worse. I am always surprised at "art emergencies". Why IS there such a thing? This time I got a frantic call from a client who got a frantic call from HER client. It seems some paintings that I designed back in October (while on vacation!) now need to be installed immediately. Never mind that I never got the specifics, and that the size changed three times, and even the number of paintings changed. Never mind that I wasn't even asked pricing based on the new criteria. Settled most of that stuff after 5:00pm today, Friday evening. I priced the project based on the rush-rush nature of it, and on the fact that I have already spent many hours in design. So the end client cut one of the paintings. I get my price, but only two pieces, so at the end of the day, I lose!
I have over-committed again. I have those two 36 x 36 grids. Plus the six abstracted landscapes. Plus I need to design an installation for a hotel registration desk - a 20 foot wall. And, I need to design four paintings to go with another existing four. All of these things are due on Monday. sigh I'm covered in paint from working on the big grid all day!
Looks like a weekend spent rushing between the keyboard and the studio. Just like I like it! (grin)

I am sobbing, bereft and feeling SO sorry for you.
NOT !!!
I'm out of breath from reading your last two posts, Robin! Nothing like a nice shot of adrenalin to get you through the week end.
