Why Can't I Be You

Inspiration of the Day: Cable TV show "Why Can't I Be You?" (yes, really)
There's a real attraction to looking over the fence and wanting that grass you think is greener. Better idea: appreciate what you've got. Chances are the artist you think works effortlessly struggles more than you know. The artist who has commissions booked up for six months probably doesn't have a personal or family life. Like me.

Now that I have moved out two big projects, and they've been approved and accepted by the respective clients, they are out of my mind, and I'm on to developing a new series. It's not really what I want to do today, but I'm pushing through. I already "know" these paintings, so it's not intense. It's nice brushwork, mixing paint and photographs in the photopaintings.

I love this series! The possibilities are endless, yet they are the ultimate simplicity.
