Pseudo-Spring

In the middle of a blizzard I found an oasis in the Botannical Gardens on the Mall in Washington. It was there that I took one of my favorite photos (above). Used my Lensbaby.

Back in the studio yesterday I had a client visit to check on progress on the big grid painting (yes, it's still hanging around). So far so good. Today I have added a couple more "real" elements: a compass, the letter "N", and a longhorn. Why? That's what the client wants. I don't know the significance of any of it, since they won't tell me anything about the company who has commissioned it.

I got a purchase order in the mail yesterday for another grid painting, don't have the details on this one yet, except the size: 12' x 6'. yikes! Good thing I built that slant wall last year, it's been in use ever since.

Do you still think of grids in a good way, now that you're doing a lot of them? I just love the ones you've been doing.
