Pastoral Landscape

South Texas Lowland
15" x 38" on canvas

I've spent a lot of time on the Gulf Coast in my life, and this landscape is reminiscent of the area around South Padre, where there's a mixture of mesquite trees, cactus and marsh.

Why did I do it? No reason at all -- just wanted to do something different.

Yep! Could be the beach almost anywhere on the Texas coast. Makes me ready to go to Galveston!

Well done, Robin. How big is it?

OOPS! I see the size. A good shape and size!

Like it a lot! I'm glad you did something for no reason for a change -- it's good for the soul.

Robin, I really like this painting with clouds that if I could touch, they would feel like cotton. And being a painter myself, I love your use of greens. Reminds me of that flat country scenery back when I lived in Abilene, Texas in the late 1960's. Wonderful painting.
