Jealous of My Neighbor
Spring is coming. It's in the air, and when you scrape back the dead leaves in the flower beds, bits of green appear. So it is that my neighbor packs up every Friday and leaves for his lakehouse. I 've been there, and I know that dogwoods will be blooming soon, and there will be a cool breeze off the water rattling the new leaves as they appear on tall red oak trees. I am jealous of my neighbor and his lakehouse.
I talked with my giclee publisher today and together we came up with a great new plan to sell more of my prints. I am painting large sheets of watercolor paper with backgrounds. The publisher will scan and enlarge them, then drop an existing image into the middle, thereby increasing the size of the piece and giving it a new look with a border. Brilliant!
