Back to Painting
I am working on a series of five paintings, 36" x 36" like the one above. The roll of Arches paper that I am using is really getting on my nerves. I am having a terrible time getting the stuff to lay flat. At this point I have masked off the top part, and painted on the injet receiver coat on all five pieces. I printed one, and since the paper is all curly the quality isn't as good as I like. So now all the rest are laid out on a table, pressed down with the heaviest things I can find. I will wait a few hours before I try printing again.
In the meantime, I have a delivery of two photographs, and a meeting to discuss the contents of a large commission.

Have you spritzed and sponged the paper before flattening under plexi or glass? Usually works for me. Sandwich between absorbant paper to speed drying. KJ
